Welcome to Module 1 of the Mastery Pro Command course. In this module, we’re going to focus on one of the most critical aspects of pitching: balance and load or what I like to call stacking.
Now, balance is the foundation of every great pitch. Without proper balance, you lose control, power, and consistency. When you’re on the mound, your goal is to maintain a stable center of gravity while staying athletic and ready to explode.
Let’s start with the load phase. This is where your body coils like a spring. Notice how your weight shifts to the back leg, creating tension and potential energy. The key is to keep your head aligned over your back foot, stacking your posture. This keeps you in control as you prepare to drive forward.
